The following images show just a few of the galaxies detected in one scan, with JHK stamp images and a corresponding optical DSS image.

The following link shows some Hercules galaxies with a "Kron" aperture marked on the images. Kron apertures have been proposed as a replacement for the "adaptive aperture" fluxes, both of which are quasi-total flux measurements.
