Schedule for F. Masci: Oct 2009 - Mar 2010, including pre-launch preparation _not_ in v3.x deliveries. Pre-launch: Delivery by Friday July 31, 2009: - Parameter tuning using latest sims (both ical and frame co-addition) following v3 I&T - Calibration infrastructure / directory structure, dynamic creation methodology, and frame filtering queries - Test accuracy of gradient vs. stack methods for dynamic flats Delivery by Monday August 31, 2009: - Software to estimate non-linearity from 'coarse' on-orbit experiment, or characterize from PSF shape versus flux? - Software in place to derive low-frequency responsivity maps (adapt from 2MASS?) Delivery by Friday October 16, 2009: - Devise method and write software to check/estimate droop in IOC (on a w3,w4 quadrant basis). Check to see if gain or offset matching needed. - Software to check/derive gain and read-noise maps using IOC data IOC: Goal: delivery by Wednesday November 25, 2009 (approximately in this order): - Cover-on darks for w1, w2 - Update/check static bad-pixel masks using cover-on data - Determine array orientations with respect to sky. Re-orient ground calibrations to match sky frames - Tune thresholds of filtering metrics for dynamic flats. Also determine optimum flat-fielding windows before/after anneals - Optimization of windows and frame filtering metrics for sky-offsets - Gain and Read-noise checks/estimation - Uncertainty model verification, tuning, scaling factors using pixel RMS trending - Saturation characterization and dynamic range check - Non-linearity estimation, verification and updates - Droop characterization - Parameter tuning in ical, awod, awaic (best PSFs and bad-pix avoidance criteria). Suppress glitch detector for SAA characterization - Re-check static bad-pixel masks before end of IOC Survey Operations: Delivery by Monday February 1, 2010: - Continue optimizing dynamic calibrations, PL parameter tuning - Assist with quality assurance (ongoing) - Periodic bad-pixel mask updates (ongoing) - Science-to-calibration interval matching in prep for v2 processing (ongoing) - Explore flat-fielding and sky-offset residuals from variance (trending) in source photometry or at least set-up software Delivery by Wednesday March 31, 2010: - Finalize FPG/metadata for archival products - Once best PSFs for co-addition in place, make look-up table or graph of noise correlation correction factors for aperture photometry off co-adds - Start to distill documentation/analysis for Explanatory Supplement --- Last modified: F.
