WMOPS MPC File (December 7, 2009) [mop02 WSDC D-I170, vsn 1.0] Interface Name: WMOPS Source ID file (.mpc.sids) Type of Interface: ASCII text file (concatenated line entries) Written By: WMOPS(wmops, wmopsqa)_________________J. Dailey(CogE), J. Bauer (Lead-Sci), T. Grav(Sci) Read By: WMOPS(wmopsqa)________________________J. Dailey, J. Bauer, T. Grav QA____________________________________D. Kirkpatrick DESCRIPTION: The WMOPS SIDS File contains the basic information to link the detections in each tracklet, as reported in the .mpc files(D-I169), with their entries in the mdex tables. The file is an ASCII text file. Each candidate object tracklet is listed by its preliminary WMOPS object ID, as it appears in the .mpc file (see D-I169), followed by a semi-colon, and a space-delimited list of object detections in abbreviated detection/source ID format. Hence, per candidate object tracklet, there is a total of N+1 fields placed on a single line, where N is the number of WISE detections for that candidate object. The abbreviated format for the detection/source ID is the standard 16-character source ID (scan ID, frame number, and source number) as used in the level 1b source data tables (cf. D-I138). The WMOPS routine (wmops) first generates a complete list of detections associated with candidate objects with a ".mpc.sids" suffix. The wmopsqa routine generates updated versions of this file based on the tracklet vetting process. Two final versions are created, one with "sound" tracklets that are very likely object tracklets, based on automated QA checks, and one with "anomalous" object candidates that have been identified as true objects from by-eye evaluations of the tracklets. The information is extracted from the level 1b mdex table files.
